Great precision pen for decoratingI love these! These are very nice to add small details, on iced cookies for instance (see pic) 5Great edible ink markers!These food coloring markers worked beautifully and were exactly what I was looking for to do hand lettering on homemade macarons. I was able to decorate over 50 macarons using one marker and there still seems to be plenty of food coloring left. Looking forward to another project that I can use these markers for! 5Concept is great-execution not so muchI love the concept of edible *markers*, and these work great the first time you use them. But after 5 min, it was like they started to dry up. Yes, I stored them tip side down in-between uses, but still, sporadic results.. and its frustrating because this is usually the finishing touch to a design. I understand it's not ink, it's an edible liquid, I just wish I knew of a product that delivered more consistently. 3YOU BUY THREE BUT ONLY ONE WORKSI bought these because I needed an edible pen that has a fine tip for small details in my decorated cookies and macarons. I was quite pleased with the price only to find out that out of the three pens, only one worked. I contacted the seller to at least get a discounted coupon or rebate since only 1/3 of what I purchased functioned as expected. No reply to date! I would not recommend for this reason. Too bad, the one functioning edible pen was good but that was a rip-off! 2Proof is in the picture!!!My husband just finished decorating my daughter's birthday cake last night. These pens come in sets of three, and we took some other reviewers' advice and had stored them tip side down before using them. Although my husband had to rotate between using two pens, overall, I think the results were amazing! I was hoping that this detailed of cake would be possible using cake pens, but I was floored with the results! From the picture, you can see that it is a pretty fine too and great for detailed work. I'm a satisfied customer! 5Doesn t work on candy melts Bought them to decorate cake pops and they don t work on candy melts/white chocolate. I wiped them on a napkin and it works on the napkin which it s obviously not edible.Not buying it again.waste of money. 1Great for marking eggs!Love these! I was looking for something safe to mark the date on our chickens' eggs, and these are perfect. They work just as well or better than a regular marker, go on smoothly, the color is nice and dark, and I don't have to worry about ink leaching into the eggs from regular markers. They show up well even on the darker eggs. If you have kids, these would work great for decorating Easter eggs. 5Store Upside Down Prior to UseI was leery of buying these from the reviews but I read to store them upside down before use. I made some leg lamp Christmas cookies and it turned out AMAZING. These went on the sugar cookies just like markers. My friends did not believe I made them myself... and I have ZERO baking or artistic abilities. I made about 50 cookies and used two of the markers. 5Beware: test well in advanceDoes not appear to be in original packaging. My impression is that these are decades old. They barely write, even on paper, much less on a smooth candy surface. This discovery is incredibly disappointing on the eve of my son s 4th birthday party while trying to decorate LEGO head marshmallow pops. 1Not good for cookies!I bought these markers to draw on sugar cookies. I froze the cookies so they would be extra hard. I was only able to use the pen on the smooth cookie face for about a minute, then the pen stopped working! I tried cleaning the surface and the pen with no luck. I tried all three on one cookie and barely got one design drawn. I has to throw them away. I would not recommend this for cookies! 1
