lifts mood, but beware of insomniaI bought this after reading it could help your mood if taken with 5 htp. I found a suggestion to take 1 tsp in the morning and 1\2 teaspoon in the evening, and immediately noticed that my mood was definitely improved! However the second day when I took the 1\2 teaspoon in the evening, it literally kept me awake all night!!! They seem to reduce the effects of stress.I prefer bulk powders because they are more economical and they do not contain binders that can reduce effectiveness. I use approximately 10 times L-Tyrosine to 1 part HTP but your results may vary.5Lowers my prolactinThis has helped to lower my prolactin. And increased my dopamine (feel good hormone). My hormones are getting balanced better everytime my labs are ran! I wasn't depressed before, but Tyrosine has helped me feel more motivated to get stuff done. And to even go for a walk. Finding myself happier & losing weight more easily. I started at 500mg & just went up till I felt normal. Typically, take around 2,000mg a day now. I read it's safe to go up to 5,000mg a day.
