Customer Reviews

Always wearing theseSometimes I fall asleep with them on I'm so used to them. Blue color is a plus with the ladies. I break glasses less. Must be saving me money. 5Easy to useI bought these for my boyfriend who is an electrical contractor. He is in his early forties and has been complaining that everything is constantly getting harder to see up close. These readers click right around his neck. He can click them into place when he needs them. Now, maybe he can work a little safer, and can hopefully see what wires he is reaching for in an electrical box. 5Clics are great reading glassesI bought these glasses after lasik when I needed reading glasses to see anything within arms' length. As far as reading glasses go, they are very handy. I never lose them as they are around my neck. My regular reading glasses are always getting misplaced. Clics don't fit everyone's head, however. They work best with short and thin hair as you need to hike them up over your ears to get them on. If you have a wide head, they may not sit well on the bridge of your nose. They are somewhat adjustable. Some of my friends with thick hair or who wear ponytails or who have braids or locks cannot wear them as the back strap just does not fit over their hair to allow the glasses to sit comfortably on their nose. They fit me well, however, and I really love them. I have them in several colors. 5Just what I neededI have purchased literally tons of stuff from Amazon over the years. This is the first review I've written, for one of the least expensive items I've purchased. These readers are absolutely the best. I'm not quite at the bifocal stage of life, but I'm to that point where sometimes I can read fine print better without my glasses than with. When I'm working at a computer screen though I can't be taking my glasses on and off constantly as I go back and forth between reading print and reading the computer screen. These readers are just the answer. They hang from my neck (so light I'm not aware they're there), but easy to unclick, move up to my face, then click back in place. I've even taken to keeping them on my face, but low on my nose so that when I look down I'm looking thru my glasses and the readers, but when I look up I'm looking only through my glasses. Ok, so maybe I do need bifocals! Anyways, these are great, and a heck of a lot cheaper than a new pair of bifocals! 5Not for bigger headsGot them today and tried them. Very tight around my head and across the bridge of the nose. I am trying the XXL Size. I will review when those arrive 1Tried lots of types...Pros: Once on my person, hang nicely, out of the way, there when I need them, not mussing up my hair, and I can put my sunglasses on top of head and, at least not have two pairs of glasses sitting on head.Cons: while reading on couch, or in bed, Clics dig into back of head, painfully. I tend to switch to standard readers for reclined reading, but then end up with the standard readers on when I walk away. Also, there is no way to put them in a case. I got a knock off, Asian brand with a integrated flexible rubber ear piece/strap and magnetic front closure and that solved both those problems. Putting glasses up and down is two handed procedure with both types of glasses. Clics optics seem a touch better. I wish there was an integrated sunglasses set up with the readers. Tried a pair of the flip up readers, Soolala brand, too and those were useless as once the lens is flipped up it is right smack in the middle of my visual field for distance vision. A flip up, to be worth anything should be on a taller frame, but the idea of , say flipping readers up on a rainy, plant identification day and not having to deal with a raindrop covered lens between me and world is nice. Also, don't know how clic type readers will do with cold weather gear on. Also, I tried progressives, never could get used to them and was frankly afraid to wear them because they cost so much. Finally, I tried a prescription pair of line readers and those are not useful for prolonged reading or computer work ,but are nice for consulting guide books in the woods and maps/literature in National Parks, looking at camera screen while out taking photos; the prescription line readers also have a bit of a distance correction, so I can tell a piece of surveying tape from an interesting flower at far distance. 4just okay so far...definite good and bad pointsI dunno, had very high hopes for these..when I saw someone with them on I thought bam! perfect solution but I am having trouble adjusting to these, not as good as I hoped....I was expecting a loose chain or something more flexible that goes around the back of your head, not a solid plastic piece, this makes the glasses unstable and bouncy, even worse if you have a hat on. I saw a review on another site complaining of the same thing when she tried to read in bed. Also the solid back makes it difficult to put glasses on top of head (old habits die hard). They feel flimsy, it is nice they are adjustable but hit them just a little and they adjust themselves/move around...also prone to catching eyebrow hairs in middle when attaching magnet (no I don't have huge eyebrows). They are a great idea..just not liking the back piece. You need two hands to operate/pull them apart so for instance if you are putting something together and reading directions it gets awkward, you can't really flip them up on top of your head with one hand while doing a task.I am still trying to get use to them, may update later , they do look much better than I expected! I get a lot of compliments from others but I would rather have them be more user friendly. 3Ok, but probably not for everyoneI like these more in theory than practice it turns out. I don't think they are for me. Biggest issue is that they could probably expand more allowing the lenses to sit a bit further away from your face when not in use.I ended up giving these to my mother who loved them though. 3Too long........too long - even when temples were pushed all the way in, the space between the nose and back is too large. I don't have a small head but I think these would better suit a good size man's 2Better than we expected!I bought these for my sister for Christmas-- she found them on Amazon and wanted to try them despite some reservations we had after reading other reviews about how they would go over her hair and whether they would fit well. She's a chef and needs reading glasses that she can take on and off easily, won't get lost, and won't fall into the soup! Well, she loves them and they are every bit as good as she hoped. The side bars extend so her hair hasn't been a problem, she just wears them around her neck and clips them together when needed. She hasn't had any problems with the magnet not being strong enough to keep them connected in front. Works like a charm! 5
