Great replacement for MCT oil in coffee beverages!I use this in making my wife's bullet-proof lattes, and she likes it much better than the liquid MCT oil because it's dispersed throughout the beverage and not floating on top. It makes the latte more creamy tasting as well. It does contain sodium caseinate, a milk derived product, so if you are avoiding dairy, this product may not be ideal. At the beginning did not realize it has something to do with the MCT powder . Although I eat dairy ,I do not have much issued . In one of the you tube videos, they have mentioned to check the fillers in the MCT oil powder.The minute I checked I realize the source of my pain :Sodium Caseinate and SOLUBLE CORN FIBER.Casein and whey are two types of protein naturally found in milk. Both proteins are extracted and used in large quantities to make protein powders and supplements. Sodium caseinate also contains extracted casein protein, but it s used as a food additive. If you re allergic to milk, you'll need to avoid sodium caseinate. Other than the risk posed to people with milk allergies, sodium caseinate isn't associated with side effects: Abdominal cramps, excessive mucus production, and diarrhea can occur as well, though these usually take several weeks to manifestAnother issue is the Soluble corn fiber, also known as maltodextrin which is used as a thickener, filler, and preservative in many packaged foods."Processed food manufacturers love SCF because it s a cheap way to bulk up products, thicken soups, sauces, and dressings, and increase shelf life"From a chemist s perspective it is fiber ' and categorized as a fiber on nutrition labels.However, fiber should never spike your blood glucose levels, and Soluble corn fiber (SCF) will.SCF is around 25 on the glycemic index, which is pretty low, The bad news is, it may still kick you out of ketosis and cause some digestive upset.I do not want to Caseinate is give bad review , but if you take it as a supplement for the Keto diet , pay attention to those tiny issued that can affect you ketosis drastically , and health as well. Read labels and do not get impressed from the Net Carb . Before you buy , check what is behind the ingredients. If the product is cheap ( relatively) and it sounds too good to be true , start to google the ingredients in content with Keto. Cheap is not always good , and Fiber is not always the good fiber .3Very good product for anyone eating ketoI like the product and it mixes well. The most frothy of any MCT powder I have tried. It has one gram of net carbs per serving as do most products in this space. Many have more as well as undesirable additives if you are eating keto. MCT is proven to help with a keto diet. I find it curbs my appetite for 6 hours or more when mixed into my morning coffee. There are some MCT powders that will spike my blood sugar. You should always check for yourself as this can be a very individual response and not necessarily true of everyone. I choose this product because of its value, response in my blood sugar, hunger suppression and helping to keep my ketones elevated. The only reason I have given this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the carbs. A serving for me is three scoops and while doing all the things I listed above, it still does not do these things as well as the oil. However, with oil you need a blender and the powder you do not.4Easier to use than oil.This is definitely easier to work with than the oil. It makes my morning coffee creamier than other brands I have tried.5Assist with weight lost without hungerTaste is good. Provides energy and dissolves in hot and cold liquids. Perks me right up after about 20 minutes making feel very alert and my thoughts concise. Was using the Quest brand. Bought this when Amazon was out of the Quest product. I'll order again!5Better for me than a liquid MCTI was using liquid MCT oil but needed a powder to use backpacking trip avoid a mess. I am very pleased with this product for the energy boost while being easier on the digestive tract than liquid...if you know what I mean. Will buy again.4
