Texture wasn't biscuit-like, but the treats tasted great anywayWe love the Red Lobster biscuits, but don't get to the restaurant very often, so decided to take a chance on the mix. The taste is just as good as it is at Red Lobster, though the texture did not turn out as expected. The next batch I'll try with a little less butter or liquid, and maybe it won't flatten out. The taste was still excellent, and we gobbled them up without even looking at the calorie information!5Cheddar bay biscuits, just like the restaurant!I am very happy with the purchase of this Biscuit mix! The biscuits came out beautifully, golden brown and crisp on top, tender on the inside. Next time I make them, I will try to make half the recipe, as I don't really need 10 biscuits at one time. Naturally they are best when freshly baked, but we did enjoy the leftovers!5Slightly pricey, but worth itI usually tend to be a bit skeptical on "restaurant-inspired" food mixes, but I love Red Lobster's biscuits, so I eventually gave in and purchased these. They turned out to be absolutely fantastic, arguably even better than the ones you get in the restaurant.It's extremely simple to make them. You just combine the mix with some shredded sharp cheddar cheese (I used Kroger-brand sharp cheddar cheese from Smith's), and cold water - preferably mixing the mix and cheese together before pouring the water in. It turns to dough extremely quickly, so make sure not to over-stir. It's supposed to make ten, but the dough is thick and sticky, making it hard to get exact measurements. I made nine out of a pack, each slightly bigger than the ones you see at the restaurant.I cooked them on a parchment paper covered pan for 15 minutes, and they'd turn out -perfectly-. Honestly, I thought they tasted better than the ones you get at a Red Lobster's, particularly since the recommended melted butter mixed with herbs for the topping gives you far more topping than the restaurants put on theirs.It's a bit expensive for 30 biscuits, but still definitely worth it considering how great they turned out. My only real regret is that I didn't take a picture to post with this review. I definitely recommend you buy this if you really like those Red Lobster biscuits.5Just like the restaurant.Let's be honest, the only reason to go to Red Lobster is the biscuits. No one likes the farmed, over- or under-cooked seafood, or their ill-fated recent attempts to branch out of seafood altogether. Salad and biscuits is all you want from Red Lobster.And now you can have it at home, without the unenthusiastic waitress. Comes with the mix, to be combined with water and cheese, and the butter seasoning.Step your biscuit game up to a new level.4These rolls are so yummy and easy to makeThese rolls are so yummy and easy to make. I made them for a work potluck when I was pressed for time. All you need to do is add cheese and butter and bake. Everyone raved about these and I didn't want to admit I made them from a mix! I don't think I could keep these at home though because I would eat one after the other. I only needed to use about half the garlic butter sauce afterwards, they give you more than enough. I definitely recommend these for a quick side. This is the large box with 3 packages. Each one of these will make 8-10 biscuits. It's a good deal!5The Real thingI chef friend of mine that used to work for Darden restaurants (the former owner of red lobster, Olive Garden, Pappadeaux's, etc. etc.) suggested we buy this When prepared properly they are exactly, exactly the same as at red lobster.5I ate too many.I received the mix, on time, lovely. I Baked 10 of them I ate 9 of them, because they were that good. I was sick to my stomach for days for eating nine of them. Next time I do the other 10 pack, I will make sure their are more people in the house to help me eat them. lol They have very very high sodium in them 400 or more , so be careful if you have high blood pressure or should be watching your salt intake. I don't have a salt problem just a pig-out problem when something is that good. lol yummy5You'll never realize how much your life requires cheesy biscuits ...You'll never realize how much your life requires cheesy biscuits until you had this at Red Lobster. Then they offer the mix for it, and suddenly you consider gaining 20 lbs for this. Just run or exercise more per day so you can include cheesy biscuits into your life.5Best biscuits ever!It was so easy to make. They provide two packs-1 the flour pack, 2 the herb flavoring you mix with olive oil. I've never been a fan of these premade flours but this was the best and everyone who ate it were flabbergasted at how good it was.5Basically Bisquik + salty toppingThis is basically expensive pre-measured Bisquik with topping that is WAY too salty. Mix has salt, cheese has salt, regular butter has salt, plus topping has tons of salt.If you choose to buy this instead of Bisquik from the grocery store:1. Dump the seasoning packet2. Use approx 3/4-1 cup cheese instead of 1/2 cup per recipe. I like either all sharp cheddar or 1/3-1/2 sharp cheddar and remainder grated Parmesan (my favorite!).3. Optional. Add a couple of shakes of crushed red pepper to batter.4. Melt butter for topping with garlic powder or crushed fresh garlic. I use unsalted butter.Biscuits are terrific if you ditch the topping and up the cheese. Or buy Bisquik and use the drop biscuit recipe, adding cheese & garlic butter topping.3
