D- Mannose, where have you been all my life?!I suffer from chronic bladder infections for decades. I'm very sensi. Also, I have a spastic bladder for years where I feel I have to go pee all the time even right after I pee. I have been on and off a long term antibiotic as well as another to help me not feel like I have to pee.Well, I don't want to be on antibiotics and being on them long term is not good. I have drunk pure cranberry juice. I have taken baking soda. I have been taking multiple cranberry vitamins daily for years. Sometimes things helped but only short term. My symptoms would return.I have researched and researched and never even heard of this product or anything. Then I finally discovered d mannose, probably from a review I read. Read all positive things and thought this is going to be my answer. Well it is!! If I feel one coming on I just take more of it. This is a life saver and a cure. Salary brand is the best. I tried another at first but after reading reviews and everything i switched to this. I don't know what it is about Salary brand but I am a customer for life! Thank you Salary for your product. 5Amazing for UTIs!!Omg! This product changed my life!!! I used to buy a super expensive brand of cranberry pills that was around $100 a bottle because I'm very prone to UTIs but I went searching for something else because I didn't want to keep paying so much. After doing some research I found that this is the ingredient in cranberries and other foods that helps w these issues so I decided to give it a try! So glad I did because it works just as well as my super expensive capsules! If I ever feel I'm getting a UTI, I take about 4 or 5 at once and then a couple more at night and then everything is fine! I will be a customer for life!! 5Prevents & Cures UTI'SI have suffered from UTI's since the age of 15. I've had so many UTI's and many many doctor visits. I would typically get recurrent UTI's every 2-3 months and have to call my doctor. It was starting to get embarrassing to me because I did EVERYTHING in my power to prevent UTI's. Every Doctor I visited would become so baffled as to why I was getting them and would ask dumb questions like "Do you wipe front to back?" like I was a dirty person or something. I even switched doctor's here and there to get other doctor's perspectives and because I was embarrassed of going in for the same consistent problem every couple months. On my last visit, my Dr. said that I didn't have a UTI (That would happen every so often too, I would waste time and money visiting the doctor because of urinary pain, but not actually have a UTI). The urine test was negative of a UTI and my doctor asked me if I wanted to be checked for STD's. That comment made me upset. I have only been with one partner my entire life. It was also scary too because it was like nobody could help me prevent this urinary pain and UTI's. I felt like I was going to have to suffer with this problem my entire life. I had enough at that point and was beginning to become very very depressed due to this stressful issue. I also felt like a money maker for doctors. I was a consistent patient with my visits. My boyfriend was concerned for me and did some major researching and found out some people on a thread were talking about an over the counter supplement- D-Mannose and how it works just as well as taking antibiotics. They were talking about how it can prevent and cure UTI's. We found out that D-Mannose makes its way to your urinary tract, it targets E. Coli, the bacteria responsible for 90% of UTIs. Instead of killing E. coli, D-Mannose acts as a competitive inhibitor, meaning it attracts and binds with E. coli, so that the bacteria can be occupied and safely rinsed, preventing it from binding with your urinary tract instead. Solaray D-Mannose cured my last UTI I had and prevented me from having to pay for another doctor visit. I have been taking Solaray D-Mannose for several months now and have yet to have a problem since my last one was cured. I take 2- 1,000 mg everyday to prevent UTI's. To cure UTI's, I would double that, so 2- 1000 mg twice a day. I highly HIGHLY recommend this product, specifically "Solaray" brand D-mannose for those who are suffering like I have been for years of UTI's and urinary pain. The sad part is that D-Mannose is not actively talked about and a lot of people have not even heard about this supplement. Why aren't doctors telling patients about this product as a preventative?! If you type in google "over the counter meds for UTI," D-Mannose is not talked about. This is why I had never heard of it before until my boyfriend found it on a hidden thread. It needs to be more known! So much money could be saved by taking this over the counter supplement & the peace of mind by using D-mannose. Solaray D-Mannose supplement prevents and cures UTI's! 5GREAT STUFF!!This stuff WORKS for me! I fight chronic UTIs and am on daily suppression antibiotics. I would still get breakthrough infections after a while. I started taking this and it has been AGES since I had an acute infection. I even cut my daily antibiotic down to every other day. I don't normally write reviews but if you have suffered like I did you should really give this a try. 5Life ChangingIf you suffer from recurring UTIs or any type of cystitis, this is amazing. I have struggled with recurring UTIs for well over a decade now, last year being one of my worst bouts. I was at my wits end. Anyone who has suffered from this type of pain before knows the drastic measures one will go to for relief. I am SO thankful that I gave this a shot. I take one every day, drink at least 1 liter of water and I have been symptom free for months now. No more UTIs, no more cystitis. If I skip my D-Mannose or don't drink enough water, I do start to feel symptoms again, but it is absolutely nothing compared to what it was. I take an extra dose after activities that contribute to UTIs or bladder pain. If you are suffering from any type of bladder pain, PLEASE give this a shot. It helped me immensely. 5Always like Solaray productsWell after 2 UTI s in 3 months for my 89 yr old mother, she gets 2 of these per day to help maintain a healthy function. So far so good. Going on 6 weeks with these. Fingers crossed. UTIs in elderly people can be deadly. In her case, hospital 4 days and rehab 2 weeks for first occurrence. So this is worth trying. Research for yourself and talk to dr to make sure it s right for you. So much to learn sometimes, but the Amazon folks who post honest reviews is such a great community forum that can help others.If there is a change, I will update post accordingly. I m keeping this in mind for myself for the future. 5I like to drink it before bed)I suffer from frequent UTIs. I drink a powdered form prior to bed (the secret with D-Mannose is drinking it with a concentrated amount of water and then not using the bathroom for at least an hour, I like to drink it before bed). I keep these capsules in my car, my purse, and my office to easily take when UTI symptoms strike. These have helped me avoid taking antibiotics every 3 months. 5At last.....FREEDOM!,I've had UTI's every year since my Senior year in college. Many cystoscope exams and retrograde dye studies, until I wised up & told the urologists that I wasn't paying for their kids college fund any more. Honestly, 4 cystos ?? All I got out of all that torture was a life threatening allergy to iodine. So for the next 30 years or so I used the antibiotics, stronger and STRONGER antibiotics, until in the end - nothing really worked any more. I had a "sub clinical" perpetual infection. I ve had UTI s on and off since I was 20 (I m 49 now) at least once every 2 years. But lately, since October 2017, it had become more frequent. After treating a UTI, I would get another one about a month later. Then January of this year, I got a recurrence 1 week after treating a UTI. I kept getting recurrences about a week each time I finished treatment since then until March, when I was told by my doctor my cultures came back and it showed I had the resistant for of E. I take 1 capsule of the Biofilm Defense and 2 capsules of D-Mannose every single day. Next week is May and so far so good, no recurrences! Keeping my fingers crossed! I highly recommend Solaray D-Mannose! 5UTIs have been held off for a year so far!This changed everything for me. I used to get UTIs VERY frequently. At first I would get UTIs about four times a year, then it got worse over time and I got them at least once a month. I started taking antibiotics as a preventative measure but eventually the bacteria caught on and became resistant. I tried so many things to help and prevent UTIs. I used to drink whole gallons of apple cider vinegar mixture and even took shots of vinegar as I was desperate to find something that worked. Nothing ever did. It was recurring infections left and right (turns out my whole family is genetically predisposed to this sort of thing). Read the reviews on here and I was skeptical (after years of pain and frustration who could blame me), but I had nothing to lose. To my surprise, this product has been working extremely well! I haven't had a UTI in over a YEAR-- I can't remember the last time that's happened. I take two pills daily (morning and night) and I ALWAYS take one right after intercourse (even if the timing means I take three pills in a day). I'm curious about potential resistance with this product, but it has worked thus far and I couldn't be happier. It's one of the best things I've ever tried. Quality of life is greatly improved! 5
