Strange Brew\'s Biere de Mars is a Franco-Belge style Biere de Garde. Normally brewed in the utmost Northern part of France this beer is best likened to a strong, farmhouse pale ale. The pour of this beer is a deep gold to a light copper color with a pillowy, well-formed white head. The aroma is strongly characterized by a toasted, malty-sweet smell that is highlighted by the yeast phenolics. Flavor-wise this beer has a slight malt sweetness that is accompanied by a dry finish. This beer is much like a Belgian Saison but more malt-focused. For an even more authentic experience, lager the beer for a couple of months in a cool basement after it is carbonated. This kit includes grains (crushed for your convenience), hops, yeast, bottle caps, priming sugar, a muslin bag, irish moss, and malt extract (if the kit is an extract kit). Each kit is put together when you order to ensure you are brewing with the freshest ingredients possible. Complete and easy to follow instructions are included to help you along on brew day. Note: this product is only an ingredient kit. Additional equipment is required, and available separately.
